Finance Department Overview:

Finance is responsible for implementing Bridgewater’s financial strategy. More specifically, we execute the day-to-day operations (accounts payable, client billing, payroll, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, project portfolio management, and shareholder reporting, recordkeeping, and calculations); we protect and oversee corporate assets (through internal controls, cash management, and insurance); and we provide strategic information and synthesis of the financial picture to the Management Committee (financial planning and analysis).

We are looking for an achievement-oriented, proactive Accounting Manager to join our team who takes initiative, possesses a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership, and enjoys a challenge persisting to overcome obstacles. This individual will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager, and will play an integral role in tracking and accounting for the financial operations of the Company. This individual will be responsible for execution of vital functions within this team as outlined below.

The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, He or she must be logical, have common sense, discretion, and strong analytical skills. Additionally, the candidate must be process improvement oriented, with strong focus on the identification of opportunities for improvement and advancement within this team.

Responsibilities would include:

• Manage the monthly close
• Perform day to day general ledger functions
• Lead and train staff accountants
• Perform account analysis, ensuring a deep understanding of various revenue and expense accounts
• Support the preparation of financial statements as well as other reports and analysis as requested
• Ensure maintenance of financial and accounting recordsIdentify opportunities for process improvements, driving related projects
• Aid in technical accounting projects as assignedVarious complex projects as assigned
• Develop and update accounting policies and procedures, as needed
• Prepare monthly and year end work papersInterface with auditors
• ConsolidationsFinancial statement and footnote preparation

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a competitive school, demonstrating strong academic record
• 5+ years accounting experience
• Proficient Excel skills and exposure to accounting software packages (MS Dynamics-Solomon;BIO) and FRx
• Entrepreneurial individual who is proactive, detail oriented, and highly organized
• Team player with high integrity and who strives for excellence
• High degree of common sense, good judgment, discretion, logical thinking
• Strong communication skills mandatory in this fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:

Exposure to MS Dynamics - Solomon General Ledger a plus
