MANAGER, SEC REPORTING & INTERNAL CONTROLS

Job Description:

Ancestry.com has an amazing opportunity for a self-motivated Manager of SEC Reporting & Internal Controls. This position will report to the Global Controller and will be responsible for quarterly and annual SEC filings and managing the internal control process. This financial leader will also have an entrepreneurial drive and a desire to be a part of a unique culture that is committed to growing our organization.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

Prepare external financial reports, including, but not limited to, drafting SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K *Prepare consolidated financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and the statements of comprehensive income, cash flow, and equity and related notes *Compile and maintain quarterly work papers in support of the Company’s financial statement and footnote disclosures *Compile and review financial information for external investors and quarterly debt compliance *Coordinate and lead Disclosure Committee meetings *Coordinate and manage internal control compliance with third party consulting firm *Conduct internal audits with assistance of third party consulting firm *Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are effectively designed and executed; and internal control documentation is accurate and updated in a timely manner *Assessment of risk and evaluation of the reliability, consistency, and integrity of financial and operating information, in collaboration with process owners and business leaders *Other projects as required

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or CPA*5+ plus years in public accounting (Big 4 Experience preferred) *Prior SEC reporting experience preferred *A thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and capability of applying both in a practical manner *Excellent written knowledge of English grammar and business vocabulary *Ability to analyze financial data and clearly and concisely document the interpretation of financial analysis *Able to act independently, exercising independent decision-making and fulfilling responsibilities with minimal supervision *Excellent communication skills both written and verbal *Excellent teamwork skills, ability to deal with others in a professional manner *Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail *Oracle and Hyperion experience a plus
